INTERNATIONAL PASTORAL
CARE  NETWORK  FOR
SOCIAL  RESPONSIBILITY

THE SHALOM AWARD

Throughout its history, the Pastoral Care Network for Social Responsibility and its sister organization, the International Pastoral Care Network, have recognized the activities of both members and nonmembers on behalf of peace among all persons, justice for all persons, and the preservation and maintaining of God's creation.

     Recipients have included:

Arch McCurdy, PCNSR board member and representative from the Canadian Association for Pastoral Care.

William Sloane Coffin, internationally known spokesperson for the causes promoted by the network.

Michael Cordner, PCNSR newsletter editor.

David Duncombe, member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, whose demonstrations against the transporting of nuclear weapons in California led to his arrest.

Horst Berger, representative to the IPCNSR Board from Germany, and presented at the conference in Teplice, Czechoslovakia.

Ronaldo Sathler-Rosa.

Tom Summers.

John Thomas.

Howard Clinebell.  Founder and creator of the PCNSR network, its leading "light".  Without him, without the inspiration he provides and the leadership, clearly there would be no network at this time.

All persons are invited to nominate persons they feel are deserving of the award by sending their names, and a description of their efforts, to Michael Cordner, Drcordner@aol.com.  Election to receive the award will be by the Board of Directors.
